We’re on the verge of a massive technological shift. AI could transform how we drive, learn, work, receive healthcare, and even manage our homes. But with all this advancement, there’s a bigger question: Are we becoming better people? In Matthew 7:12, Jesus gives us lesson that has meaning no matter how advanced the world becomes: “Do to others what you would have them do to you.” Technology can become smarter, but it can’t build our character for us. Character is built in the moments when we choose kindness, grace, patience, and integrity—especially when someone else isn’t giving us the same in return. I’ve learned something powerful: when our lives are over, people rarely talk about what we owned or accomplished. They talk about who we were and how we made people feel. The future may be powered by AI, but it will still need people of character. Can you treat people better than they expect? Can you extend grace when it isn’t returned? Is that kind of strength in you?
